It’s now 18 months since a Mayfield Old Boy told me to buy an Olympus Pen F and I can’t thank him enough. It re-vitalised a hobby that I’d enjoyed on and off since I was 12 and that’s a long time!
Remote control in hand, I started spooling through “teach me” videos on YouTube from Rob Trek to Mads Peter Iverson to Kim Grant. All brilliant photographers and a great inspiration but what really ticked my box was the work of the greats. Schaller, Bailey, Lange, Yarrow and so many more.
Monochrome, unfussy black and whites, minimalistic. Less is more.
